ඉස්සර කාලේ හඳ මාමා

In the year 1979, the UNESCO proclaimed it as the International Year of the Child. In Sri Lanka this was marked in various ways, including the release of two EP records. One was the Lamaa Gee by Nanda Malini, and the other was Punchi Unath Man. Children of Victor Ratnayake, Ajantha Ranasinghe, and Sisira & Indrani Senaratna sang songs in the latter. Jayantha Ratnayake was one of the singers, who passed away a few days ago. Here is the song he sang solo on the EP - Issara Kaale Handamama.

Incidentally, this song also refers to the moon landing. When we were talking about songs related to moon landing some time ago, we missed this one.
